Hi Serra Da Estrela - Pousada De Juventude - Penhas da Saude

Stayed at a hostel in the scenic Serra da Estrela Natural Park, cooked my own meals in the communal kitchen , played table tennis and pool, and had a great time hiking and cycling. So much fun!

Oh, and let's not forget the luxurious fridge that was so full I couldn't even fit an apple. How thoughtful!

I recently stayed at the youth hostel in Serra da Estrela for a couple of nights. The location was perfect for exploring the area and visiting Torre. The price was unbeatable during the summer off-season, and the dorm rooms were shared with only a few other guests. The breakfast and cafeteria-style dinner were filling and included extras like soup, dessert, and drink. The new building where the guest rooms are located was comfortable, with a spacious and clean bathroom. The room itself was elegantly decorated and had plenty of storage space. The staff were friendly and the overall experience was great. Highly recommended for a short, peaceful stay.

Specific situation: During my stay, there was a storm that resulted in a power outage. However, the hotel staff worked diligently to restore the electricity and resolved the issue within 12 hours.

What a fantastic place to stay. We had a room in a new part of the pousada and it was amazing. It was clean, new, functional, and very comfortable, with a great view. After a long hike in the mountains, it was the perfect retreat. the lounge in the old part of the pousada was also excellent, especially with the huge fireplace. the staff was super friendly and spoke great English. They even played smooth jazz in the morning, which added a nice touch. the internet was strong and the breakfast was big and diverse. I highly recommend trying their homemade pumpkin jam, it was yummy! the pousada offers a range of amenities such as an ice rink in the winter and a swimming pool in the summer. They also have electric bikes available for rent. our experience at Hi Serra Da Estrela - Pousada De Juventude was fantastic. Cons: Nothing 😊.
